Organizational History.
Community Enhancement Services (CES) was established in 1993.
In 1994 it was incorporated and received a non- profit status.
CES distinguished itself as a community service provider by successfully implementing meaningful community projects in the areas of energy efficiency, water conservation, refugee assistance, employment services and others.
The mission of the Community Enhancement Services (CES) is “to enhance the community standards through provision of community service, education, training, employment and other services.”
To better reflect its mission, since 1995 Community Enhancement Services (CES) operates under the d/b/a CES College.
Previously Community Enhancement Services offered classes in citizenship preparation, English – as –a- Second Language, acting, accounting, plumbing, weatherization, adult literacy and other subject areas.
Currently CES College is specializing in training of vocational nursing.
For its outstanding services to the community CES has received acknowledgements and awards from many federal, state, county and city elected and appointed officials.
Mr. Zigmund Vays is the founder of the organization.
His leadership as the President/CEO of the Community Enhancement Services d/b/a CES College has been recognized by the federal, state, county and city elected officials.
Mr. Vays served as a human service commissioner for the city of West Hollywood and was elected for two terms to the Board of the Mid City West Community Council.
He was also elected president of the Southern California Forum, a trade association for non-profit environmental service providers.
California State Senate commended Zigmund Vays for his personal and professional achievements and outstanding record of community service in the Senate Rules Committee Resolution #108.
